Teeth in a Day (All-on-4)

Teeth in a Day — also called All-on-4 — replaces an entire arch of missing or failing teeth using four dental implants placed in a single appointment. You leave with a fixed, functional set of teeth the same day the implants go in.

It’s not magic. The implants still need months to fully integrate with the jaw. What changes immediately is that you have teeth — not a gap, not a temporary denture sliding around. The final permanent prosthetic is placed once healing is complete.

Who it’s for

This procedure works best for patients who:

  • Are missing most or all teeth in an upper or lower arch
  • Have failing teeth that need to be extracted before restoration
  • Want a fixed solution instead of removable dentures
  • Have enough jawbone to support implants (or qualify for preparatory bone grafting)

If you’ve been told implants aren’t possible because of bone loss, All-on-4 sometimes changes that equation — the angled implant placement is specifically designed to work in areas of reduced bone.

What to expect

  1. Consultation — We review your health history, take 3D imaging, and map out exactly where the implants will go.
  2. Implant day — Four implants are placed under local anesthesia. A temporary set of teeth is attached the same day.
  3. Healing — Over the next 3–6 months, the implants fuse to the bone. You eat soft foods during this phase.
  4. Final restoration — Once healing is confirmed, the permanent prosthetic is placed and adjusted for fit and bite.

Most patients manage post-procedure discomfort with over-the-counter pain relief for a few days.

How it compares to dentures

Traditional removable dentures rest on the gums and can shift when you eat or speak. All-on-4 is anchored to the bone — it doesn’t move. Most patients report significantly better chewing ability and no adhesive required.

For patients missing only some teeth, individual dental implants or a dental bridge may be a better fit.

Questions to ask at your consultation

  • Am I a candidate based on my current bone density?
  • Will I need extractions before implant placement?
  • What does the temporary teeth phase look and feel like?
  • What are the long-term maintenance requirements?
